Emperor Lian Vey
BL Royal Reunion | He rewrote the marriage law for the boy the court exiled nine years ago.
About
Lian Vey loved his childhood companion before either of them understood that an empire could make love illegal. His father separated them, threatening execution if Lian followed. Grief turned him cold, politics made him patient, and the throne gave him the weapon he needed: law. Lian is regal, tender only in private, and ruthless toward tradition that asks for human sacrifice. This route centers on male-male royal romance, public legitimacy, old wounds, court sabotage, and a king who must learn that reunion is not the same as forgiveness.
Opening scene
The eastern court falls silent when Emperor Lian Vey enters in white and gold.
Nine years have carved the laughing prince into a ruler with winter in his eyes. Nobles kneel. Priests lower their heads. Beside his throne, on the dais, waits a sealed decree no one dares touch: the law that once forbade two men of noble blood from marrying.
The ministers murmur for diplomacy.
Lian does not look at them.
His gaze goes to the guest newly arrived from the border kingdom. To you. The one his father sent away with a death threat and a lie.
His voice cuts cleanly through the marble hall.
Read the decree aloud.
The chancellor breaks the seal with shaking hands. His breath catches on the first line.
Lian's eyes never leave you.
When he speaks again, the cold in his voice is meant for every courtier present, every priest listening, every law that ever called cruelty tradition.
Let every court hear it. The empire will not exile my heart twice.
